The Team Finland network promotes Finland and boosts the success of Finnish companies abroad. The Team Finland network brings together all state-funded actors and the services they offer to promote the internationalisation of Finnish companies, to attract foreign investments to Finland, and to promote Finland’s country brand.
Abroad, the Team Finland network is represented by over 80 local teams. Each local team gathers together the Finnish authorities, publicly funded organisations, and other central actors representing Finland in the particular region. The local teams of the ELY Centres (regional centres for economic development, transport and the environment), fifteen in all, are an important part of the Team Finland network in Finland. Companies get help from advice to financing and the creation of societal relations. See more: http://team.finland.fi/en/

Malaysia is an upper middle income country with political and economic stability. Its constant healthy growth allows it to aspire for high income level by the year 2020. The growth potential for oil production and oil income is limited, but new oil and gas reserves are being explored. The import regime is relatively liberal. Around fifty Finnish companies are active or represented in the country.
The Embassy is ready to assist the Finnish business community with its authority and connections. Finns and Finnish companies in Malaysia know the Embassy, but general information activities will be strengthened through electronic media, including the Embassy website and Facebook page.
Liaison and connections to other Team Finland actors will be strengthened. The Embassy will work together with the board of the Malaysian-Finnish Business Council.
Business delegations from Finland will be planned and promoted to Malaysia and/or Philippines in cooperation with the relevant Finnish companies. If possible, the delegations should be led by a Minister or Under-Secretary of State.
